Tuesday, Dec 7 EBIG's Blogging & RSS SIG will discuss the legal issues of blogging at their new location in Concord, CA. Details. If you blog and live in the San Francisco Bay Area, this is a must attend event. There are hidden liabilities companies need to be aware of. This session hopes to address the precautions companies should consider.

Blogging has emerged in the past few months as a grassroots publishing medium with a strong sense of community. This new publishing medium is having a significant impact on politics, ideas and culture. And with every new medium, it has potential legal issues that arise including employees getting fired to consumers get sued. During this session, you'll learn the legal challenges of blogging and how consumers are reacting. You'll walk away with a clear understanding of how to introduce a blogging policy that protects your company. But most importantly, we'll discuss how you can incorporate what you learned into your blogging strategy.
